Job Description

We're looking for a Head of Engineering to take ownership of the engineering function at a busy food manufacturing site in the Nottinghamshire/Derbyshire area. This is a key leadership role for an experienced engineering professional who can blend strong technical expertise with clear, confident people management.

Responsibilities:

- Leading a team of multi-disciplined engineers.
- Deliver the engineering strategy with a clear focus on prevention rather than firefighting.
- Own and improve Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) across the site.
- Partner with Operations and New Product Development to support smooth product launches and line changes.
- Responsible for the site CAPEX plan, from scoping through to delivery.
- Manage engineering projects from concept through to handover.

Candidate criteria:

- Strong background in engineering leadership within a food manufacturing environment.
- Strong technical grounding in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering.
- Proven track record of developing engineering teams.
- Right to work in UK.
