HLTA - Maths (Alternative Provision)
 Location: Burnley
 Start Date: 5th January
 Contract: Full-time, 5 days per week
 Pay: £110 - £144.89 per day

Tradewind are seeking a dedicated and resilient Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) with a strong background in Maths to join a supportive Alternative Provision in the Burnley area. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about making a meaningful difference to young people who require a more personalised and nurturing educational environment.

About the Role

Deliver engaging and differentiated Maths lessons to a small class of up to 8 pupils.

Plan and prepare Maths learning activities in line with the curriculum and the needs of each learner.

Work collaboratively with the teaching team and support staff to create a positive, safe and structured learning environment.

Support pupils with SEMH needs and help them to re-engage with education.

Track progress, provide feedback, and contribute to pupil support plans when required.

About You

HLTA status (or equivalent experience delivering lessons).

Strong subject knowledge in Maths.

Experience working in alternative provisions, PRUs, SEN settings, or with pupils facing barriers to learning is highly desirable.

Excellent behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive, trusting relationships.

Patient, empathetic, and adaptable to individual learning needs.
