We’re working with a welcoming primary school in Greenwich that is seeking a Creative Teaching Assistant with a background in Drama or Performing Arts. This is an ideal role for graduates who want to use their confidence, creativity, and expressive skills to support children—particularly those with social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH).
You’ll be working closely with teachers and support staff to help pupils engage with learning, regulate emotions, and build confidence through both structured and creative activities. You will also have the exciting opportunity to support school performances, assemblies, and creative showcases, using your theatre experience to bring learning to life.

Your Role
Use drama-based strategies, role-play, and creative activities to help pupils with SEMH express themselves and build emotional resilience.
Provide 1:1 and small-group support to help children develop confidence, communication skills, and self-regulation.
Support classroom learning and help create calm, positive learning environments that engage and inspire.
Assist with school plays, performances, assemblies, and creative curriculum projects, using your performing arts skills to help children shine.
Build trusting relationships that help children feel safe, understood, and valued.
Work collaboratively with teachers, pastoral staff, and the inclusion team to track progress and celebrate achievements.What We’re Looking For
A degree in Drama, Performing Arts, Theatre Studies, or a related discipline.
GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grades 4–9).
Experience working with or supporting children or young people (SEMH experience is a bonus but not essential).
Confidence, creativity, and excellent communication skills.
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to behaviour management.
A genuine passion for inclusive education and using the arts to make a lasting difference.Safeguarding
