Job Description

Project Manager – HV (Up to 132kV / BESS)

📍 Location: Hybrid (Office based in Bromsgrove)
⏱️ Hours: 40 hours per week (core hours)

The Opportunity

We are recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to join a growing and dynamic infrastructure business delivering HV/LV and energy projects, including 132kV and BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems).

This is a hybrid role, offering flexibility to work from home, with occasional office attendance (once every couple of weeks) and site travel as required.

Key Responsibilities

  * Deliver end-to-end project management, ensuring scope, budget, and client expectations are met

  * Manage a portfolio of projects, maintaining accurate reporting (internal & external)

  * Collaborate with Business Development, Tendering, and Design teams to ensure alignment with client requirements

  * Coordinate stakeholders including clients, contractors, and local authorities

  * Plan and manage project programmes and delivery schedules

  * Oversee financial control, budgets, and variations

  * Procure labour, subcontractors, materials, and plant

  * Ensure compliance with NRSWA, HAUC, DNO, and IDNO specifications

  * Conduct audits and ensure quality assurance and final sign-off

Essential Requirements

  * Proven experience as a Project Manager within HV/LV installations (up to 132kV)

  * Experience in contestable connections and/or BESS projects

  * Minimum 3 years’ experience (5+ years preferred)

  * Project Management qualification

  * Full UK Driving Licence

  * Strong organisational and time management skills

  * Confident decision-making under pressure

  * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

  * Commercial awareness and proficiency in Microsoft Project & MS Office

Desirable

  * HNC (or equivalent) in a related discipline

  * SSSTS or SMSTS

  * DNO competency certification / Electrician / Electrical Fitter background

  * CSCS Card

  * Emergency First Aid

  * NRSWA Supervisor
