Salary: £120 - £140 per day

Are you an experienced SEND Teacher looking for flexible day to day work in a primary setting?

Do you have experience supporting non-verbal pupils with additional needs in Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2?

Are you confident delivering engaging lessons and managing behaviour in a SEND classroom?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a SEND primary setting in Newcastle that provides a nurturing and inclusive environment for children with additional needs. The school promotes independence, communication, and emotional development, supporting pupils to reach their full potential.

The school is looking to appoint a SEND Teacher on a day to day basis, working across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. The successful SEND Teacher will be responsible for delivering tailored lessons, managing behaviour effectively, and supporting pupils, including those who are non-verbal and require additional communication strategies.

The successful SEND Teacher will have:

• QTS
• Experience working within a SEND primary setting
• Experience supporting non-verbal pupils
• Experience teaching Key Stage 1 / KS1 and Key Stage 2 / KS2
• Strong classroom and behaviour management
• A patient, resilient, and adaptable approach
