Job Title: School Behaviour Manager
Reports to: Headteacher / Senior Leadership Team
Salary: £100 - £190 per day
Job Purpose:
The School Behaviour Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring strategies to promote positive behaviour and ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment. This role involves working closely with staff, students, and parents to manage behaviour effectively and support students’ social and emotional development.
Key Responsibilities:

Behaviour Policy Implementation:
* Lead on the development and enforcement of the school’s behaviour policy.
* Ensure consistency in behaviour management across all staff and departments.

Student Support:
* Work with students displaying challenging behaviour to identify underlying issues and provide tailored interventions.
* Coordinate restorative practices and conflict resolution sessions.
*
Staff Guidance & Training:
* Provide training and coaching for staff on behaviour management strategies.
* Support teachers in managing classroom behaviour effectively.
*
Data Monitoring & Reporting:
* Track and analyse behaviour incidents using school systems.
* Prepare regular reports for senior leadership and governors.
*
Parent & Community Engagement:
* Communicate with parents regarding behaviour concerns and progress.
* Liaise with external agencies (e.g., social services, educational psychologists) when necessary.
*
Safeguarding & Wellbeing:
* Ensure all behaviour management practices align with safeguarding policies.
* Promote student wellbeing and inclusion.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
* Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and child development.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to remain calm under pressure and resolve conflicts effectively.
* Experience working in an educational setting (preferably with behaviour management responsibilities).
* Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
Desirable:
* Relevant qualifications in behaviour management, psychology, or education.
* Experience with restorative practices and trauma-informed approaches.
