SEN Learning Mentor, Wembley PRU - January 2025 start -

Job Title: SEN Learning Mentor Area: Wembley, Northwest London Start Date: January 2025 Contract Type: Temp to Perm Salary: (Apply online only) starting rate Working hours: Full Time

About the school: A small, supportive pupil referral unit providing education for students aged 5-18 who cannot attend mainstream schools. The college offers personalised learning, strong pastoral care, and a focus on reintegration and achievement.

About the role: You will work closely with teachers to support SEN students, provide one-to-one and small group interventions, and assist with lesson delivery. A trauma-informed approach and understanding of psychological needs are essential to help learners overcome barriers to education.

We're looking for a dedicated candidate to:

Provide targeted support to SEN learners across age groups
Use trauma-informed strategies to build resilience and engagement
Assist with lesson planning and delivery
Offer one-to-one tutoring and small group interventions
Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
Contribute to the wider school community and safeguarding practicesRequirements - The ideal candidate would have:

Extensive experience supporting SEN students
Tutoring experience or SEN-specific qualifications
Background in psychology or trauma-informed practice
Strong communication and organisational skills
Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
Commitment to safeguarding and student welfareOnly shortlisted candidates will be contacted
