Job Description

Specialist SEN Teacher
Full time | Permanent
MPR £32,916–£45,352 (FTE) | £2,787 SEN allowance
Start: Immediate

An exciting opportunity for a skilled teacher with experience supporting autistic pupils and those with complex needs to join a specialist EYFS/KS1 provision. You will deliver personalised learning for pupils with EHCPs, helping them develop academically, socially, and emotionally within a supportive, inclusive environment.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to individual SEND needs
Adapt the curriculum to provide a bespoke, accessible learning experience
Support pupils with autism and complex needs through structured, consistent approaches
Work closely with Teaching Assistants to direct and support classroom practice
Implement and review EHCP targets, behaviour plans, and intervention strategies
Monitor progress, assess learning, and maintain accurate records
Create a safe, engaging, and nurturing classroom environment
Support communication, social skills, and emotional regulation
Liaise with parents/carers and external professionals to support pupil development
Contribute to a collaborative team approach within the specialist provision
