Teaching Assistant - Personal Care Specialist - Northampton

Tradewind Recruitment is delighted to partner with inclusive Northampton schools seeking compassionate Teaching Assistants with experience in personal care and SEN support. This is a fulfilling role for someone who wants to make a genuine impact on the daily lives of children with additional physical and medical needs.

Responsibilities Include:

Providing one-to-one personal care, including toileting, feeding, and mobility support.

Assisting with classroom learning, sensory activities, and communication development.

Following individual care plans and working closely with healthcare professionals.

Ensuring the dignity, comfort, and safety of every student at all times.

Supporting inclusion, participation, and confidence building throughout the school day.

What You'll Need:

Experience working in a school, care, or SEN environment.

A caring, professional approach and strong interpersonal skills.

Understanding of hygiene, safeguarding, and moving/handling protocols.

Ability to work collaboratively and respond calmly under pressure.

Commitment to consistent, full-time hours across the school year.
